Mayfield Village Retains D.B. Hartt, and Retains D.B. Hartt Again
In the fall of 2002, Mayfield Village hired D.B. Hartt to help its 20/20 Vision Committee with the first phase of updating the Village's Comprehensive Plan. After successfully kicking off the planning process with a daylong retreat, the Village decided to retain D.B. Hartt to complete the remaining phases of the project and prepare the final Comprehensive Plan.
The project team is currently recommending strategies and implementation steps to support the preliminary goals identified by the community. Some of these goals are:
To think big and stay small.
To expand and enhance high-quality, non-residential economic development opportunities in a manner that maintains the Villages small-town character
To create a cohesive Village Center which serves as a focal point for residents and meets the administrative needs of the Village
To create a pedestrian-friendly environment throughout the Village, but particularly in the Village Center
