Commercial Occupancy (Limited) of Historic Residential Properties

D.B. Hartt developed regulations in Macedonia and Olmsted Falls to permit limited commercial occupancy of historic residential properties. This provision is applied when it is no longer economically feasible for these properties to be reoccupied for residential purposes. Without this provision, the likely alternative is that the historic building, which the city seeks to preserve, would be demolished and the property redeveloped.
